5 black owned swimwear brands you need this summer
It’s summer and we outside! I don’t know about y’all, but I am vaxed & waxed and ready to be wearing less and going out more. And by wearing less I mean- it’s bikini season babbbyyy. Everyone knows I own a million swimsuits (if you didn’t know now you know-here’s proof) so I’d be wrong if I didn’t share where you need to shop for swimsuits this summer.

This Caribbean woman-owned swimsuit brand has me in a chokehold. I have almost 10 swimsuits from House of Jem alone. What I love most about this brand is your swimsuit will always be a perfect fit; all bikinis are custom made to fit your body. This brand is a trendsetter honey; you can spot a ByKrishtun piece a mile away. The swimsuits are modern, handmade and high quality (thank god, cuz some of these other crochet swimmies are giving grandma sksjsk.) ByKrishtun’s designs are so unique that even when the copy cats try to replicate— they never seem to come close. And I know what you’re thinking, yes you can wear these crochet swimsuits in the water. They hold up in the pool, in the sea, rivers or waterfalls ( I’ve personally tested it )

If you’re looking for timeless pieces, Riot Swim is your fighter. This black owned brand has been on the rise and I feel like I watched them blow up. Love to see it. The unique prints and matching cover up pieces are a big seller for me— and everyone else globally it seems. Another brand we watched blow up and still keeping the same energy with their new designs.
