Traveling to Saint Lucia? Here’s what you need to know.
Saint Lucia is loosening her restrictions/ requirements for entry into the island, but there are still a few things you need to do first. The rules are a little different if you’re in the travel bubble, a returning resident, a tourist and whether or not you’ve been vaccinated. But I’ll break it down for you.
What everyone needs:
A negative PCR test (anyone 5years and over) taken no more than 5 days before arrival. Rapid tests/ antibody or antigen tests are NOT accepted. Print and travel with copies of your negative PCR test result.
Travel registration form submission. You should to submit this as early as possible. PCR tests aren’t required for submission. You will be able to log back in and upload your PCR test results later. You can apply for travel authorization here. Once all requirements are met, you will receive a travel authorization via email around 1-2 days before your travel date. Print and travel with copies of your travel authorization letter
(note: make sure your letter is dated; if not I recommend printing the actual email that shows the date and the letter- airlines were checking for the dates)
A health screening form. Everyone needs to complete this quick questionnaire on the day of travel. It must be presented at the airport upon arrival and It will speed up the process if you download, print and complete it before landing. If you forget it, don’t worry, they provide them at the airport— but that definitely slowed me down, so I would recommend getting it before hand.
Non Residents arriving from USA, Canada, UK and other countries not included on the travel bubble list
All non resident visitors must stay at a Covid certified accommodation.
Non vaccinated visitors must be transferred from the airport by Covid certified transportation, must remain on hotel property and can participate in Covid certified activities. After 14 days in Covid certified accommodation, visitors have the option to either stay on property continue following the initial protocols OR check in to certified bubble/staycation properties and enjoy more access to the island.
Fully vaccinated visitors may stay at Covid certified hotels/accommodation, certified bubble/staycation properties or with local friends/family. As of May 31 all fully vaccinated travelers (visitors and nationals) will be able to move around the island more freely, go to the supermarket local restaurants, hire a car etc. Fully Vaccinated travelers are still required to follow local protocols like social distancing, wearing a mask and hand washing/sanitizing. You must present your vaccination card for verification upon entry to Saint Lucia— you will receive a wristband for identification.
note: Travelers are considered “Fully Vaccinated” two weeks after the second dose of the two-shot vaccine or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine.
